Erin was never one to follow the traditional path. Born and raised in Stockton, she took her adventurous spirit around the world to eventually find herself back home to launch her heart as an artist. With a degree in journalism from Arizona State University, and a background in publicity and non-profit, Erin said goodbye to the “nine to five” and traveled the globe for six years teaching English and Bikram yoga. From Morocco to Thailand, Colombia to Malta, Erin learned more about the world and herself, learning several languages and gaining priceless life experience. Primarily a self-taught artist, her mother was her first teacher, being an artist herself. While living in Louisville, KY for two years, Erin began to take her craft more seriously and was mentored by a locally renowned artist.

She also studied drawing at the University of Louisville for a semester. Her expression of color is bright, bold, and abstract, giving viewers the opportunity to receive what their heart sees. Her main focus is acrylic painting, using a large variety of colors and textures, and mixes and moves the paint on canvas with water from the Pacific Ocean. This unique element transcends to Erin’s love of the ocean and its mysteriousness to express a language unspoken. Erin learned and believes that the art itself is the message. Her vision for her work and rose paintings especially, is an invitation to enter that divine space again, and to remember what’s real in the heart. A proud Stocktonian, Erin is grateful for the opportunity to support her community and to share her passion of creative expression.
